For more than 15 years, Monica has supported legal and business affairs teams with a strong focus on production, licensing and distribution agreements for film, television and digital content worldwide. She built her professional experience working at Warner Bros., PolyGram Films & Music and continued her career working for mini studios as well as independent production and distribution companies.

Her experience includes preparation of production-related, licensing and distribution agreements, management of corporate governance, preservation of documents and legal holds for litigation matters, copyright infringement defense, trademark renewals, rights clearances, contract lifecycle management, rights management systems as well as representing employer in small claims court to mitigate reputational and financial risks.

She has a practical approach to business matters and a proven ability to streamline processes to improve the efficiency of departmental operations.

Her technical experience includes various contract and document management systems and legal research databases. She’s fluent in Spanish and speaks conversational French.

She holds a Paralegal certification from West Los Angeles College, a Bachelor of Science in Business from Mount St. Mary’s University, completed first year law program at Northwestern California University, a certificate in Contracts and Policies from Harvard University, a certificate in Intellectual Property from University of Pennsylvania and is a California Notary Public.

When she’s not supporting legal teams, she enjoys sports, physical activities, reading, healthy lifestyle, her dogs, movies and music.
