Jackie Ward
Jackie Ward is a trusted advisor to producers, financiers, and production companies, representing clients across the full lifecycle of content creation, financing, and distribution. Her practice spans complex financing and production structuring, rights acquisition and chain of title, production legal, and strategic intellectual property counseling. As the only attorney embedded within RAMO’s Content & Media Strategy team, Jackie works at the intersection of legal strategy and business strategy, advising clients on the development, financing, positioning, and long-term value of content across traditional film, television, and emerging media.
Jackie represents prolific independent production companies including Duplass Brothers Productions, Tango Entertainment, and Cold Iron Pictures. She also works closely with RAMO clients such as Lion Forge Entertainment, iGeneration Studios, Scott Free Productions, and Riff Raff Entertainment, providing practical, business-minded counsel that helps clients navigate an increasingly dynamic entertainment landscape.
Among her notable representations, Jackie spearheaded the financial closings for “Mister”, starring Walton Goggins and produced by Bright White Light and Thunder Road; “The Beast”, starring Samuel L. Jackson and produced by Fifth Season; and Rebel Wilson’s $30 million action-comedy “Bride Hard”. Her experience extends from structuring sophisticated financing transactions through production, rights clearance, and distribution strategy, allowing her to provide clients with a holistic perspective throughout the life of a project.
In addition to her legal practice, Jackie plays an integral role in RAMO’s Content & Media Strategy team, where she collaborates with producers, financiers, brands, and media companies on strategic business development initiatives, market positioning, financing opportunities, intellectual property expansion, and cross-platform content strategies. By combining legal expertise with commercial insight, she helps clients maximize both the creative and long-term enterprise value of their intellectual property.
Jackie’s client-centered approach and innovative thinking have distinguished her as one of the entertainment industry’s emerging leaders. She was recently nominated for NextGen Woman of the Year at the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2026 Women’s Leadership Awards and was recognized as one of the 2026 Lawdragon 500 X – The Next Generation honorees.
Outside of her work at RAMO, Jackie serves as counsel to Breaking Through the Lens, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to financing opportunities for filmmakers who have experienced marginalization due to gender through grants, curated industry introductions, and mentorship.
