Alyssa Alarab
A Northern California native and lifelong athlete, Alyssa Alarab found her way into entertainment law through a genuine admiration for creators and a creative side of her own, having performed for her teammates during her time as a UCLA Women’s Soccer player. She earned her J.D. at the University of San Diego School of Law, where she competed on the Intellectual Property Moot Court National Team and served as President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Alyssa’s competitive edge, creative curiosity, and IP focus continue to define her approach to client representation today.
Alyssa is a business and legal affairs attorney specializing in scripted and unscripted television and film projects, with a focus on shepherding productions from development through final delivery while balancing creative priorities with commercial objectives. From clearance review to creative collaboration, Alyssa’s practice is built around helping creators take a concept from the page to the screen with the rights, releases, and risk strategy in place. Drawing on her in-house experience leading business and legal affairs for high-profile unscripted television productions at Lionsgate, Alyssa brings a pragmatic, hands-on approach to negotiating talent, producer, director, and licensing agreements, and to resolving on-set legal issues in real time.
Outside of her legal career, Alyssa enjoys swimming on the UCLA Masters Swim Team, visiting Lake Tahoe, and attending Broadway musicals.
