Michael Segal
Los Angeles native Michael Segal brings a distinctive blend of entertainment industry experience and forward-looking legal strategy to his role at RAMO. He advises clients across scripted and unscripted film, television, and digital media, with a particular focus on guiding complex productions and transactions from development through distribution for projects such as Pretty Babies (Wagner Entertainment), First to the Finish (Boardwalk Pictures), and Babies (AGC Studios). Michael’s practice spans both lender-side and producer-side financing, and he has contributed to the successful closing of notable projects including The Kill Room and Terrifier 3.
Trademark and brand protection is a core component of Michael’s practice and a key driver of his multidisciplinary approach. His work in trademarks, copyright, and emerging technologies allows him to represent clients holistically by aligning content creation, brand strategy, and rights protection across traditional entertainment and new media platforms.
Segal began his journey at RAMO as a law clerk before advancing to an associate position following his graduation from law school. He earned his Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School, completing the accelerated SCALE program with a focus on entertainment law and graduating as a Dean’s Fellow. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business.
Outside of his legal career, Segal embraces a well-rounded lifestyle, enjoying hobbies such as pickleball, music, and television.
