‘One Battle After Another’ and ‘Sinners’ lead the nominations for the 2026 Dorian Film Awards

One Battle After Another and Sinners continue to reap the awards season wealth. The two Warner Bros. films topped the list of nominations for the 2026 Dorian Film Awards, hosted by GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics, the second-largest entertainment journalists organization in the world.

Paul Thomas Anderson‘s movie led the field with nine nominations, including Film of the Year, Director of the Year and Screenplay of the Year. Ryan Coogler‘s Sinners received eight nods, including mentions in each of those categories. Josh Safdie‘s Marty Supreme was the third most-nominated film with five nods.

The nominees for LGBTQ Film of the Year included Richard Linklater‘s Blue MoonNia DaCosta‘s HeddaHarry Lighton‘s PillionEva Victor‘s Sorry, Baby, and James Sweeney‘s Twinless. Victor was also nominated for LGBTQ Screenplay of the Year, Film of the Year, and Screenplay of the Year and also received recognition in the Wilde Artist Award and LGBTQIA+ Film Trailblazer categories.

“Across genres and borders, LGBTQ filmmakers and performers are telling stories that are bold, personal, and adventurous — often in the face of cultural resistance,” GALECA’s vice president Gerrick Kennedy said in a statement provided to Gold Derby. “GALECA is proud to honor a class of nominees that don’t just reflect the moment, but challenge and expand it.”

The winners of the 2026 Dorian Awards will be announced on March 6, ahead of Oscar night.
