Awards season has reached the Southern Hemisphere as the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts is out with the nominees for its 2026 AACTA International Awards. Warner Bros’ One Battle After Another leads the way with seven noms, with Focus Features’ Hamnet right on its heels with six.

Both will face off on the marquee Best Film category against A24’s Marty Supreme — which is third with four nominations — Sony Pictures Classics’ Nuremberg and Warner Bros’ Sinners. See the full list below.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another scored noms in six of AACTA’s seven film categories, including pitting the pic’s Benicio Del Toro and Sean Penn against each other for Best Supporting Actor. Hamnet also went 6-for-7, only missing out in the Best Actor race.

Switching channels to TV, the Best Drama Series field includes Netflix’s Adolescence and The Diplomat, Apple TV’s Severance and Slow Horses and HBO Max’s The Pitt. Vying for the Best Comedy Series prize are HBO Max’s Hacks, Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, FX’s The Bear and Apple TV’s Shrinking and The Studio.

Seven Aussies made the cut across the film and TV acting categories: Russell Crowe of Nuremberg, Hugh Jackman (Song Sung Blue), Joel Edgerton (Train Dreams), Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein), Dacre Montgomery (Dead Man’s Wire), Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You) and Sarah Snook (All Her Fault).

Winners will be feted during the 15th annual AACTA International Awards ceremony on February 6 at HOTA, Home of the Arts on Australia‘s Gold Coast.
